of the highest-capacity DDR2 SO-DIMM for Notebooks
Swissbit focuses on DDR2 technology with its SO-DIMMs
memory specialist Swissbit already manufactures DIMM memory modules
of the new DDR2 generation since 2004 and now also offers this
technology for SO-DIMMs to be used for Notebook applications.
The new high-capacity 200-pin PC2 4300 DDR - SDRAM module is available
with a capacity of 256MB and 512MB and provides for a fast and
efficient use of Notebooks - even with high data processing needs.
From the end of Q1 2005 the new module will also be offered with
a capacity of 1GB.
of the DDR2 technology are numerous compared to the conventional
DDR1 modules. To name only a few; the voltage of the modules is
only 1.8Volts compared to the normal 2.5Volts, which means reduced
power consumption for a significantly prolonged battery life.
Furthermore the performance is more efficient, due to the higher
data throughputs. Frequencies from 533 MHz to 800 MHz increase
the speed of the in- and outputs.
Also the use
of "Fine-pitch Ball Grid Array" instead of "TSOP"
in the chip package makes a positive impact on the speed and electrical
performance because it shortens the electrical connection between
DIE and PCB. Signal quality is improved because of the new ODT
technology (On Die Termination).
DDR2 modules are developed and built to the JEDEC DDR2 Specifications.
For quality assurance the modules are only produced with DRAM
of leading manufacturers such as Micron, Infinion, Samsung, Elpida
in an ISO 9001 certified environment and are thoroughly tested
during and after production.
